@Matthew-Whiskeyman

Hi

See this topic.

Uninstall Magix Connect if you do not want to use the feature to transfer from Camera MX in a mobile phone.

Yeah - I saw the online to remove Magix Connect as a solution. But this version does not have that software. Version Music Maker 28.2.0.47. So either something else is causing this or Magix has gotten more sophisticated with making their adware sneakier.

Hi

You may have Magix Updater installed instead of Connect and it should have a menu item in the Windows menu, Magix programs if so open and see if you can remove the notifications for the program.

It is odd that I have the same Music Maker version yet I have Connect.

Hmmm that is odd. I will test it out. I appreciate your help

It's in the options. I don't think this is to do with Connect. I ticked the box to "Hide News" and have had no more pop ups.

I got a reply from MAGIX support. This did the trick

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

The newsfeed with MAGIX product information and promotional offers is implemented via the tool "Update Notifier" (formerly "Connect"), which is installed with the MAGIX software. You can disable the newsfeed by uninstalling this component. In order to do this, access your Windows Control Panel and proceed to the list of installed software ("Programs and features"). Find the entry for this tool in this list and uninstall it from here. Depending on the generation of the software, it would appear under one of the following names:

- Update Notifier
- MAGIX Connect
- Connect

I hope this information helps. We have passed on your feedback to management for them to reconsider the concept for Update Notifier/Connect.
