DearTech support,
I am having difficulty with Samplitude Pro X3.
Firstly, a little background:
I use two installations of Pro X3. One is my personal version. The other is a “House of Worship” installation.
These are two completely separate licenses registered to separate users.
My question is for the “House of Worship” installation.
Samplitude is installed on a ADK DAW.
DAW is connected via USB to Antelope Goliath A to D converter.
Also installed in the DAW is a Yamaha DANTE card.
We get into trouble when switching between a DANTE VIP and a Goliath VIP.
When Samplitude has been used for a Goliath recording session, (we typically use 12 - 14 input channels) and Samplitude has been shut down at the end of the completed recording session, we have trouble on reopening Samplitude to a Dante VIP (which uses most of the available 64 channels).
On opening the Samplitude mixer screen, we find that some channels have been renumbered.
Specifically, channel numbers above the number of channels used in the Goliath session will be renumbered as follows:
1 - 14 map OK
15 maps to 13
16 maps to 14
17 maps to 13
18 maps to 14
19 maps to 13
20 maps to 14
………
It appears that a remnant of the Goliath recording session (VIP) is controlling the channel mapping in the DANTE recording session (VIP).
When Goliath is disconnected from the ADK and the AD is rebooted, the VIP loads correctly…. i.e channel mapping for DANTE is unchanged.
However, in this situation Samltude defaults to MME driver instead of Yamaha and we must manually select the Yamaha drivers.
In a situation where we have done a DANTE recording session and we wish to with to a Goliath recording session, we get an error message stating that Samplitude cannot find the ASIO drivers.
We have worked through these problems by rebooting the ADK between sessions, but that seems a clumsy way to deal with problem.
Can you give is some guidance?
I will be happy to provide any information needed:
User name on license
ADK configuration
Software and firmware revision numbers etc.
Other?
Thanks for reading all the way through this.
I hope I have stated the problem in an understandable way.
