recording settings

Hi,

recently got a new windows 11 machine, and successfully installed soundforge pro 14. For the most part it works, but I can't seem to get the software to record from the internet.

This is what i did to try to fix the problem:

Went to: Control Panel --> Hardware & Sound --> Manage Audio Devices --> "Recording" tab of popup window --> made sure that the realtek soundcard was enabled.

That little trick worked when using soundforge pro 14 on Windows 10, but it's not working for Windows 11.

I also went into the "Record Options" window on Soundforge, but still couldn't get the program to record "as you hear" from the internet.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

thanks,

Eric

I am not familiar with Win 11 @eric194814. In the Windows sound settings, confirm that 'Stereo Mix" (or similar) is the default Record source. Try a different audio device type in SF "Options> Preferences> Audio". 'Sound Mapper' or 'Classic Wave driver' usually work though, If this is a new machine, some PCs inherently cannot record 'what you hear' without a third-party routing software.
