Recording real guitar through Roland Tri-Capture sound device into Magix Music Maker 2014. I can see it by clicking the cog wheel to the right of the record button. The top drop down optons allows me to select tri-capture for recording device. Not working

Hi,

You need to setup the ASIO driver and input under program settings. You should monitor your input and the sound back from the computer using the earphones monitor on the Roland Tri-Capture, not from the computer speakers.

ASIO driver does not work. I managed to get the Tri-Capture  towork. However, switching FX sometimes crashes Music Maker 14. When this happens, in task manager, It takes about 15 minutes for the process to end. I even use Process Explorer which can be downloaded from Microsoft as an advanced task manager with no effect. Once the program is running again. All Tri-Capture settings fail to load according to a popup. This is fixed by restarting my computer. This has happened three times now.

Furthermore, when attemting to use Vandal SE digital amp, it acts only as an effect after something has been recorded. This mislead me. I hope that I am wrong. I try to add VST under instruments tab for Amplitube Metal and it shows it loading for a second, but no Amplitube Metal VST plugin is displayed in the VST Instruments panel.

At this point, I am looking to troubleshoot a refund unless I can get this all resolved.

Hi

What is the specification of your computer?

Re guitar loudness - is this an acoustic or electric guitar?

Please do not post multiple questions which are on the same topic - keep them in one thread only.

Solutions, make applications take specific control of audio device in sound options of windows 7. Use ASIO drivers, to avoid crashing, take time between changing effects, the program is touchy, as for it taking too long to end process, just don't crash it, use the program slowly.

Win 7, i7quad, 8gb ddr3 ram, 1TB HD, Radion 7550 GPU
