Re Activating Music Maker 2015

iam_waffle wrote on 7/7/2015, 11:49 AM

I bought my son a new computer and went to reinstall.  It said I needed to wait a month or so which was fine.  I understand.  However, when I went to re-install this weekend it requested I change my password, at which point it said I had tried to re-activate too many time and I would have to wait another month!

Can that value be reset so that I can reinstall this?  My son would be very happy as he is enjoying the product very much.  Or was.

THANK YOU

Hi

Email support at Magix asking them to reset the activation counter, explaining why you need it reseting.

. . . . it requested I change my password . . . .

I am puzzled why you were asked to change your password - I have never been asked to change mine since I joined in 2009 - is your Antivirus up to date and do you run regular spamware checks?

yup, it is.

I could see it.  I created an account initially with the install.  When I went to re-install after waiting the appropriate amount of time it requested that I change my password (maybe I had exceeded some setting or somesuch).

Anyway, I would liike to re-install before August 4th (I think that is what it said).  I have a fully licensed right out of the box version.

Thanks for the suggestions, though.

ALSO, I don't have an email for support, the website has you go over the phone and I had no luck with that.  It asks for some weird set of 5 digit values...not at all sure what that is.  Boards like this, I have found, are usually fast ways to get to the needed information.
