Sound Forge Pro 15.0
1. Why do SF15 utilizes this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony ? (Att-01)
2. Are the folders with names ex. {FC5FE89F-2A15-C165-037F-0007E95D36FA} etc. are temp folders?
3. If these are temp folders is there a way to delete these folders automatically upon exit? Or transfer it to a different drive so that it won't clatter the SSD c:\\ drive/OS drive.
Note: Those folders mentioned above mostly contain - "Untitled.dxp" file.

Hi @Former user, pre-Magix software could be in there like the NR-2.0 noise reduction suite or other pre-Magix DX plug-ins. Otherwise, SCS (Sony) versions of Sound Forge were installed to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Sound Forge Pro 11.0
The default location for the 32 bit versions of Magix Sound Forge is installed in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SOUND FORGE/SOUND FORGE Pro 15.0|
The SFP 64 bit version is in:
C:\Program Files\SOUND FORGE/SOUND FORGE Pro 15.0

Could be.. I see similar entries in the registry for Sound Forge
The default location for recording and temporary files is:
C:\Users\--user name--\AppData\Local\MAGIX\SOUND FORGE Pro\15.0\MAGIX\SOUND FORGE Pro\15.0\
(other user settings like Keyboard and Window layouts are in, AppData\Roaming

I am not totally sure, but you could try enabling "Delete new temporary files on close", which removes new <.sfk> waveform files when SF is exited.
If you prefer a different location for the recording & temp files, that can be changed in "Options> Preferences> General".
Hi @rraud Thank you so much. I didn't notice that Sony NR 2.0 resides on that folder, which I'm still using. You are right those folders has registry entries too. I enabled "Delete new temporary files on close", it did not delete those folders. Your suggestion of changing the location of "recording & temp. files" is a great help.
I just made a test on SF16 - everytime I apply an IzOz9 vst3 64bit, while monitoring the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\, I noticed that is also create a so called "temp folder" in it and in the registry just like SF15.
No big deal. It is what it is.

Magix renamed the NR-2.0 Suite, "Noise Reduction Pack" but other than dropping the "Sony" name in the plug-in's display, it is the same. There is also a 64 bit version of it now in SFP's Installation manager, but I cannot detect it is any faster or better than the 32 bit Magix or Sony version. SFP also includes iZ's RX Elements, which basically has the same tools as NR-2.0 (din type noise reduction, clipped peak restore and click/crackle attenuation). RX Elements has an auto setting for the noise reduction tool in addition to the noise print capture. Overall, it seems to have slightly less artifacts when excessive amounts of NR are applied. I prefer NR-2's click reduction tool for mouth noise and/or smoothing a raspy voice.
I occasionally go into the temp folder and clear leftover files.
