Are you sure the email was to upgrade your existing program or was it a special offer to purchase MEP 2013. Magix unlike some other companies like Adobe does not typically offer a upgrade path but they do offer existing clients incredibly good deals to purchase the latest version. Either way, if you like the price go for it, but wait until you have the new version for a while before you uninstall MEP 17. You may not want to even uninstall MEP 17 and keep running with both applications in case there are some early bugs or compatibility issues. The new product offers usually don't last forever, so if you like the price and the features go for it.
Good Luck,
ps, what was the price of the email offer you got? Thank you.
That is a pretty decent price. Before you decide, have a look at the premium package and see if there is anything there that you may need or want. When I first purchased MEP, I bought the "plus" version, but after I had is for a few days I realized that I really wanted the "premium" version, so I had to ask for a refund on the "plus" version and purchase the "premium" version. I don't work for Magix, so I don't have any interest in what you actually choose to buy, I just want to point out some of my experiences with purchasing the less expensive product and wishing I had originally purchased another product. Food for thought, and I wish you well.
