Purchased Chillout Blue Laguna but most of the loops and samples do not work, tells me to update to newest version

Did you follow the procedure outlined in this tutorial by John E. Baker about converting to Windows 10? If not, try it and report back.

Many thanks for this. I discovered that I can revert back to previous windows platform as offered by mocrosoft. Would this be an easier fix?
