punch-in recording (manual mode)

I am testing the trial version of Sound Forge Audio Studio 15 for PC (Version 15 - Build 57 - 64-bit) in Windows 10. When I go to manually (punch-in) record, it requires that I enter a start date and start time in addition to the record length. I don't know how to manually record by entering only the record length. I own SF Audio Studio 10, and it allows me to punch-in record by entering the record length only. Any help would be appreciated.

There was a thread on punch-in recording a few months ago, search this forum. I do not recall if it was specifically for Sound Forge AS (Audio Studio) or Pro. You can continue to record using SF AS-10, in the mean time, it will not make different in the sound quality, all other factors being equal. Otherwise, read the manual and search for tutorials.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users forum @Ed-Helpert.
