Publishing uploads same font twice in same message

Xara web designer premium 11
Windows 7
8GB

When using xara designer during the ‘publishing’ phase a warning box pops up advising about non-standard Fonts and uploading them will allow these fonts to appear as intended on the website. I understand the message... HOWEVER what I don’t understand is why (2) of the same Font classes are being uploaded. Chanson Heavy SF Bold Italic 29kb is listed twice in the pop-up window.

Thanks for anyone with input why the double upload of the same Font.

Hi Kim

. . . . I don't know how to attach an image in this post . . . .

To upload an image click the blue circle icon with the up pointing arrow on the text entry box toolbar above to the left of the blue smiley.

Why you are getting a double entry for the font is a mystery - I cannot test at the moment as I have none of my Magix/Xara programs installed (rebuilding computer).

Thanks John.. Good to know about the Blue Circle Up arrow icon. I was so used to looking for a "paperclip" icon that the Blue Circle Arrow Up one simply escaped me. I edited my initial post accordingly. Also attaching a copy of the popup message again here.

As for testing.. good luck getting your computer rebuilt. That can be a project and a half getting software and settings back how you like them. It has taken me a week or more in the past.

I did some more investigating and have this to share. Looking on the server side in the "index_htm_files" folder I found these font entries.

XaraWDEmbeddedHTMLfont3.ttf 18,892
XaraWDEmbeddedHTMLfont3.eot 11,637
XaraWDEmbeddedHTMLfont1.ttf 64,444
XaraWDEmbeddedHTMLfont1.eot 23,917

Surprisingly the size of 'font3" above combined is close to 29kb that was reported in the pop-up window for CHANSON HEAVY.. and "Font1" above combined is in the realm of 86Kb for FRANKLIN GOTHIC as reported in same message window. It appears CHANSON HEAVY was not uploaded twice.. Maybe it is.. but simply over writes the existing file. It's a mystery but not an overly significant one. (By the way.. why are (Font1) & (Font3) reported.. it would be more logical to be (Font1) and (Font2) than 1 & 3. )..?

Just sending this follow up to let you know what I found. This concern is more of a minor "glitch" than a problem. It's a distraction to see double entry of the same Font on the popup message, but it appears not to affect the performance of the program.

Good luck rebuilding your computer..

Hi

Thanks for the update as soon as I get the rebuild finished - 2 more days (?) - I can check if I get the same issue.
