Project suddenly not playing, not working :(

Hi guys,

I've been using Movie Edit Pro 2015 for a while now and it's been working smoothly! I've been working on a video for a few days, editing it off and on. Today I opened up the program to edit on it some more, and it won't play. If I click play, it'll run for about a second, and then stop playing. If I try to record audio it'll cut off after that 1 second. I also can't drag any new files or clips onto the timeline. Really bummed out and tried everything I can think of. I haven't changed anything from yesterday when it was all working fine :/ Help!

Many thanks

Hi

This sounds like the project may be corrupt or MEP needs resetting

To reset MEP select File, Settings, Reset program settings to default.  Note you will lose any customised settings you have made.

Then try reloading the project - if the project is still giving problems then it may be corrupt.

Iin which case try and load a backup of the project using the File, Load backup project option - this will open a dialog box and hopefully display a series of backup files of the project - there name will be in the following format

xxxxxxxxxx_BAK0.MV_     where xxxxx = name of the project

- there may be more than one in which case the number 0 in the example will be different.
