Program wont Load - Magix Movie Edit Pro 17

I purcahsed this program over a year ago and tried to learn it for a few weeks.  After loading it a few times I began getting a C++ error and the program would not load.  I gave up using it for a long time now but since I spent money on this program I want to use it.  I tried to re-install it and get it to work but I continue to get the same problem:  The loading window comes up but it locks up.  I go to my Task Manager and the application that is locked up is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libray" and I have to cancel it to get the window to go away.

I am using a Dell PC with Windows 7 Pro.

Hi,

To check for patches, go here you will probably need to log in and hopefully you have registered the software.  If not you will probably have to do that before you will be taken to the download area for MEP 17.  I have MEP 18 so I can't even see what is available for your version.

You may have a corrupt instance of Microsoft Visuall C++ I have 10 different versions installed on my system (I assume because 10 applications need a specific version) but I have no way to tell which one is associated with Movie Edit Pro.

You can try downloading C++ here

Good Luck,
