@Tommy-Shelton This message is correct, Music Maker activates its audio driver, which is Magix Low Latency.

I don't know exactly why this program freezes on your laptop. Be sure your computer satisfies the minimum system requirements, that Windows and all its hardware drivers are up to date.

I recently upgraded to Windows 11. Would that cause a problem?

@Tommy-Shelton

Hi

Without knowing your laptop specification we would be guessing.

See this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full.

Also include which Antivirus program is in use.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

At the lower left corner of the splash screen you will see the program loading various modules and scanning for VST's - what does it say when the program freezes?

Do you have any external audio devices connected by USB to the laptop?

@Tommy-Shelton A Windows 11 upgrade can be problematic if your computer manufacturer doesn't offer updated hardware drivers for Windows 11. Have you already checked the website of the manufacturer?

I'm checking things out now.

I believe I found the problem: the cpu apparently is not powerful enough. A 2 ghz is required, The cpu installed is 1.8 ghz. Hmmm. 0.2ghz makes THAT much difference? I'll try a different computer.
