Problems with Magix reinstallation

russell-cross wrote on 2/3/2020, 4:38 PM

Hi,

I had to reinstall Magix Music Maker after a problem with my computer caused by a Windows update. I downloaded and installed the program from the website and spent many a happy hour downloading my loops and instruments. I was asked to upgrade several times, even though I'd just downloaded the program from the website. I did so because, hey, this is Magix so its not gonna be easy right? Anyway. I am now running Vers 28.0.2.47. At first I was unable to get any sound from my instruments because the "library was not activated". Checked store, it said it was activated. Took a day off to calm down and now today when I right click I am unable to load any instruments (apart form the default piano). Any ideas? (In the meantime, I'm quite enjoying playing with Roland's Zenbeats). Using Windows 10, Focusrite Scarlet 2:2 audio interface.

Thanks Russ

@russell-cross

Hi,

At the top right above the Media Pool, do you see your email address, meaning that you're logged in?

You say that you downloaded your loops and instruments. For the instruments, did you download using the Download Manager (Download button) and then install each of them?

Hi, Thanks for the response. Yes I see my email address. The loops and instruments downloaded together, then I had to press another button (sorry bit vague) to install the instruments. I can now load the instruments but still get library not activated message and no sound from the instruments. Any help appreciated.

Cheers Russ

@russell-cross

Hi

Try logging out of the Store and then log back in again to see if this fixes the problem.

If that does not work try the Program settings, General tab, Clean up store option

Hi, Thanks I think the logging out and back in again worked! Haven't tried all the instruments but the Analogue Synth is working. Thanks for your help.
