Problem with update .268 5.1 audio

Took the update 16.0.1.268, just getting started editing a new project and found an issue associated with audio. Dropping a clip onto the timeline, everything works fine, when I right click the audio track, and extract audio channels, the preview then studders in slow motion. I can scroll just fine, but playback is slow motion, jerky. Any ideas?

The issue is with using DirectSound, for audio playback in the program settings, with 5.1 Surround Sound.

This issue can be replicated without extracting the audio channels, by turning on 5.1 Surround Sound in the Mixer, this is what extracting the channels does.

As a work around changing the audio playback to Wave driver the issue disappears.

Can you send in a bug report please, I will do the same.
