Hi

What is the source of the mp4 file?

Check the file with MediaInfo and post the results from the Tree view - you will need to export them.

Which version of Movie Edit pro (MEP) are you using and is it patched up to date?

Also please read this post.

Hi

We do not need the mediafile - we need the information about the file which you get using MediaInfo.

Once you have downloaded and installed MediaInfo:-

  • Using Windows Explorer, browse to the folder containing the video file with the sync problem.

  • Right click the video file and from the pop-up menu select MediaInfo.

  • MediaInfo will open and analyse the video file

  • From the MediaInfo menu bar select View, Tree

  • Then select File, Export Alt+E - this will export the data to a text file.

  • Save the file specifying the folder to save in and the name of the file.

  • In Window Explorer browse to the folder where you saved the file and open it with Notepad

  • Copy the information in the file and paste it into a new answer to your question.

Hi Niksa

What was the source of the file? Is it a game capture file?

The problem shown by the MI analysis is that it is a variable framerate video which MEP does not like. Only solution is to convert it to a standard MP4 codec at a fixed framerate with one of the video converter programs, prior to bringing it into MEP.
