Hi

We need more information about you computer spec and the video files themselves.

AVI is not a video format - it is a container file which can contain any video and audio codecs.  Use GSpot to analyse a video file and come back with the results

What is the source of the video files?

Also do you mean MEP 13 or MEP 2013 ?

MEP 2013 Plus

Original recording in Hi8 > Transferred to mini-DV > Captured in .avi format  by Windows via firewire

GSpot indicated that audio Codec was missing.

src > A > avi splitter > B > DV Splitter > C > DV Video Decoder D > Video Renderer

src > A > avi splitter > B > DV Splitter > C > Default DirectSound Device

 

Sound played fine from the Test window after two above filters were applied. Now how can I get this into MEP?
