Problem when exporting song as MP3/WAV

krasi_petev wrote on 3/28/2016, 6:37 PM

I'm trying to export a song as a MP3/WAV file, but my Music Maker 2014 Premium does not let me.  Instead, the export command freezes the program.

I have never had that problem in the past, but something happened to the program.  I don't know what.  I ran the Repair feature from the installation disk, but the issue persists.  Any clues?

Hi

More information is needed:

  1. Computer specification - please be specific re processor, RAM, graphics card/chipset used, hard drive(s) and free space.

  2. Windows version and whether 32 or 64 bit.

. . . . I have never had that problem in the past . . . .

Something changed on the computer - did you upgrade to Windows 10 from 7 or 8 and then the export stopped working?

If so then you need to re-install the software following this procedure.

I run Windows 7, SP1, 8 GB of RAM, 1T of storage.

Yesterday, I got an "Out of Memory" prompt when I tried to export a song as a MP3.

Hi

An 'Out of Memory' error has several causes:

  1. there are too many programs running or the antivirus program you have is hogging resources

  2. a program is running which is causing a memory leak and is slowly eating up memory so there is none left available for other programs to use

  3. there is a rogue program eg malware or a virus on the system

  4. the computer has not been switched off / restarted for a long while

Try restarting the computer from a full shutdown, not a hibernating state and then export the song again.

Run a malware scan - I use Malwarebytes Anti malware.

2 above is the hardest to fix - trying to find a memory leak without proper diagnostic tools is difficult.
