Problem burner code region blu ray in Canada = A or NTSC=1 with Sony product

danicot wrote on 9/20/2012, 12:38 PM

With Movie edit pro MX (studio 18)

How to identify the region of DVD at the time of the gravage (as Nero) in Magix.  Currently, while using the parameters NTSC America and the good format NTSC Certain readers Canada (free code region, Samsung, LG..  Can read the dvd).

On the other hand all the readers Sony to Canada demands a region code = 1 and not 0 = international.

ALL the engraved dvd with Magix with the good parameters does not work avecPlatine Sony

In néro NTSC Canada = 1 works very well (with the platinum SONY)

In Magix one do not can used all the functionalities of the menus intéractifs because Magix movie edit pro MX engraves according to only NTSC America and ASIA and the dvd is illegible for the product Sony.

Please a solution thank you

Hi

I think the problem is not with MEP but your Blu-ray recorder - see this post about a similar problem.

Thank you for the response, but my  blu-ray  burner  is well identified NTSC = 1. in my peripheral under Window 7.  When I engrave with Néro that works very well with the platinum Sony.  The latter, wonders me the country before engraving in the parameters by default.  While Magix identifies ONLY:  2 parameters:  NTSC = U.S and Japan, and Pal = Europe.  Therefore I would want to know if the problem exists only to the Canada for the platinum Sony or to the U.S the platinum Sony works  ?

Problem almost that resolved??  To the engraving step, I changed my option of encodage and I chose the option of encodage NTSC 1980x1080 - 5.1  in Magix my problem is resolved.

If I takes the option NTSC 1920X1080 only, the readers Sony cannot read the blu-ray.

What is  the encodage of the sound for this option ?  AAC or   2,1???

the product Sony cannot read of the the whole DVD.  Strange??  Does someone have an idea?

Hi

On my system both options use the H.264 video codec and the AC3 audio codec - I do not think this is the problem because the only difference is whether the audio is recorded in stereo or 5.1 surround sound, all modern players can decode both types of audio.

What model is the the Sony player?

Hi

I think the problem may be with the player and disc compatability.

Have you tried using a different brand of disc?

There is also a firmware update, which improves disc readability, for the Sony BDP-S280 available here - with full instructions on how to check your player and install the update - if in doubt about upgrading your player, contact your nearest Sony dealer.
