I'm curious is this a codec problem? I edit mostly 720p videos, which codecs are the best? I was very happy with magix month ago. I know how to set the program for my needs and it work good. Then it start to lag when a drag and drop clips to the time line, slow almost impossible preview and crash. I reinstall my OS and I have the same problems. My PC is build powerful and is not a CPU or RAM ussue. Can it be a video card setup? Same situation happens with windows movie maker. I saw lots of questions and answers writen in dutch which i cant understand. Thank you.

Hi McBobby
If it was ok a month ok, then it became 'laggy', the question is what has changed in your system? The program is not slowing due to age, and if you are getting the issue with windows movie maker, then get your computer checked.  However, if your source material is different, change in format etc, this may well explain your problem.

Magix have a syscheck you can run, which you can request on the support site. That is a very quick way for you to see what may be up, and includes driver update recommendations too.
