Pls help me. How do i Song Maker with my own voice rather than preinstalled voices?

chrismartin wrote on 11/13/2010, 7:23 AM

I really need help. How do i make "song maker" beat to my voice in Magix music maker 16 premier?

I sang a song with no beats or nothing. I now want the Magix Maker to make a beat to match my voice. I know it can do it with the pre installed voices when i click on "song maker" then on "create new arrangment", but i don't what to use the voices that they use. I want to use mine like they do to the pre installed ones.

I was thinking of re recording over the voice files with my voice or deleting them all and just putting in my voices, but i don't want to mess up my program.

Is their another way?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hi,

What you are upto is not impossible but take time and tricks.

First all song maker use audio fro Soundpool whether soundpool in the music maker or from purchased soundpool.

In side soundpool there is a Beat pattern known as BPM. The vocals included in all different Styles(Genre)also depends on it.

That is why we can not add non soundpool audio in song maker but... by little effort we can do.

Question is do you have Soundpool DVD or you use Soundpool installed in Music Maker?

In your case what you should do follow steps below:

1. Record your song(vocal clearly without any hiss or glitch ect in a professional way by using nice microphone) avoid any background noises. It will be better if you could record in chunks, like vocals avaialble in soundpool they are not one longer song but in pieces. That will help you save later editing time.

Now open Magix Music Maker and choose your style example

Hip Hop, Techno Trance etc. Use song Maker to make beat first. Beat duration should match your vocal duration. If you know how to compose a song then it will be not a problem.

After making beat as you like. Here comes the final step.

Use File Manager browse your recorded vocals in chunk(pieces)drop them one by one on beat you arranged on the places you set fit. Normally Music Maker will adjust tempo automatically but if you want you can use

right click mouse your vocal part from menu choose Temp and Pitch/ Harmony Agent' Alt+Shit+F) you can also use Timestretch & Shiftpitch (Shift+V).

If you think there is a hiss in vocals you can clear it by using External Music Editor

Right click on your vocal(audio)from More options choose Edit with external editor (Ctrl+Shift+A)

Remember, always keep backup if you use Music Editor, some time it change the original audio. I have suffered a lot. After doing all of the above you can use your vocals.

There is another short cut.

First choose your style, Hip Hop, Disco etc, make beta according to song duration. Then locate the folder where Soundpool you used is saved. In the vocal folder put all your own vocals. Start Song Maker and I guess it will add your vocals or you can drag and drop from file Manger on beats.

I know typing in text will be boring but this text will guide you.

If you got question provide detail

Wish you success.

Note: I hope you know the basic rules how to compose a song.

Thank you for your time. I think the second shortcut sounds easier.
I just want to make sure that I understand what you said.
I go to where all the vocals are. I delete them all.
I then Make a bunch of short ones with my voice about 5 seconds long each.
I will record all the short vocals of my voice with the  voice recorder within the software itself.
I then go to "music maker (w)" and then when I click on vocals and drum it will make a nice song with my voice and a random drum beat?
Hope I understand.

Thank you so much again for your time and help.

Hi,

No need to hurry, do easily, first understand, what you want to do. If your song making is just for fun then good otherwise you should know how to compose song? then when your beat is ready add vocals.

Again do not disturb anything in Program folder or do not delete any file. Just do not use them.

Or copy all vocals you do not need on other place such as, flash drive, external hard drive.

example.

Hip hop vol1.

Vocals

Make a new folder, by giving name Copied Hip hop vocals

and copy all vocals here, do same for any other style. Who knows in future you need them. Now you could delete from original folder and put yours.(which I do not recomend)

Thank you
