You need to set your playback device to something other than "Microsoft Sound Mapper". What is your sound device/soundcard?

Try "Windows Classic Wave Driver" as the audio playback device type. Go to:
"Options> Preferences> Audio" to set it/

The above applies to Sound Forge Pro, the menu structure may be a little different in SF Audio Studio.

Do you have an external audio interface? For example, Focusrite Scarlett (Using it as an example as its pretty popular).

Secondly, it appears your Windows audio drivers may be corrupt. Does audio work at all in windows?

It could also be another app (a media player and such) is open somewhere and is using the Sound Mapper.
