Please Help!... Update from steam took away my play pointer.

waynewedge77 wrote on 3/28/2014, 12:06 PM

Magix Music Maker was working fine until a recent Steam update. Now there is no vertical line or play pointer that shows where the program is playing my song. Also the measure and beat display does not change or show the current play position.

Can someone Please Help!

I have made no changes to my computer and the program worked fine before the steam update.

So what was this update supposed to fix ?  Contact Stream and tell them.  If the updaate is no value to you, and sometimes they are no value, just a bunch of minor fixes to the russian version, stuff like that, you can go back to a safe date and restart your PC without the update to bother you.

Steam the game host?

Not sure how this would effect Magix Maker . Sometimes MMM brakes by itlesf ;)

I probably would try "system recovery" becasue it removes updates to system in general .

Google system recovery if you don't know how to do that .

Hi

As Gnarly says - you will have to contact Steam.

If you had purchased direct from Magix then you would be in a better position, financially no worse off, and users on this forum may have been more able to help you.

Try a program reset File, Settings, Reset program . . . . to see if this fixes the problem.

It would also help if you mentioned which version of MMM you have.
