Playback speed is off.

I have a Windows XP Dell laptop and a Sigma Tel Audio soundcard.  I just upgraded (?) to Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 2013 from Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 11 and wanted to capture the headphone out of my mini-disc like I used to do.  I set up the software to "line in" and I checked the "monitor input" so I could listen to the recording via the output of my soundcard.  The recording sounded fine as it was recording, however, on playback the speed was off.  The singers sounded like the chipmunks.  Any help out there?

Well, since I don't own any recent version of ACL or use a Sigma Tel Audio souncard, this would be purely a guess.

My guess would be your recording sampling rate is set at 48kHz and the playback sample rate is set at 44.1kHz.  You need to check the software and soundcard settings.
