Basically the information or audio from track 1 is bleeding into track 2 while recording. I have 'playback while recording' enabled and I'm using Magix Studio Deluxe. Please help! :(
Do you have the REC button enabled when you record? This is located on the left side of the track in the icon area.
Also... how are you recording? Are you using a mic? That will pic up anything coming from your speakers. Always record with headphones.
What kind of recording interface are you using? Some sound cards have a "what you hear" setting that will record anything playing as well as what you're recording - that would cause this too.
Ok... first try turning OFF the REC button. That is more of a monitor option and can cause problems when used in conjunction with "Playback While Recording" that usually causes this problem.
Your recording interface is what type of "sound card" you're using... if it's a regular sound card then the "what you hear" could be a problem. We'll discuss that if the REC doesn't fix it.
Hi,
I'm going on the presumption that you're using a standard PC sound card. Are you trying to recording two tracks simultaneously?
For you - the REC button shouldn't be to "arm" a track for recording so whether it's enabled or not your recording should default to the first free track.
Give it a shot and let's see what happens,
Justin
Go into your sound card and click recording options. Then change the field that says "What you here" to whatever input you are using to input audio to the project. This will allow you to listen to track one while recording track two without them both being on track two. Remember only have record enabled on track two while you are listening to track one and you do need to have playback while recording enabled
Why is my track 1 recording in to track 2? I'm using a external interface: Behringer UCM404HD no matter what I try to change its still doing the same thing please somebody help, I want to start making music and I can't fix this problem. I'm using Magix music studio Samplitude 2019.
Did you notice you had posted to a thread whose previous post was made nearly ten years ago!?
Please start a new thread with your question, ensuring you include ALL the information requested in this post. At the moment we know nothing about your computer, audio interface or even the exact version of Samplitude Music Studio which you have.
