The playback cursor jumps and freezes under the following conditions:
- select Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO as audio playback device under Preferences (I'm using an O1V96i and the driver V1.10.4 was downloaded and installed just a few days ago)
- select a short region in the middle of a sound file
- enable loop playback
- place the cursor before or within the selection
- start playback
The cursor appears to jump to the beginning of the selection and doesn't move, but I can still hear playback. If I click anywhere in the file, the playback position jumps to it and the cursor resumes showing the playback position normally. This doesn't happen when Microsoft Sound Mapper is selected as the output device. I am running Windows 10. Is there a way to address this issue? Thanks
Update: just found this similar issue: https://www.magix.info/us/forum/incompatibility-between-all-my-magix-audio-programs-and-yamaha-ag06--1228257/
Another update: works fine with MOTU ultralight mk4 ASIO
Yet another update: just tested build 131 with the Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO device and the symptoms are the same.
2/5 update: just installed SF Pro 10 and found that it has these exact same issues (which it didn't have on my previous Win7 system).
2/18 update: all issues have somehow fixed themselves! I can see in Windows update history that 4 updates have installed since January (Windows 1903), but I haven't changed a thing. So odd.
2/21: But the issues remain on another Windows 10 (1909) machine
2/29: Last update, lest this becomes my diary. It's broken again on my Windows 1903 machine! No updates happened recently! This Windows 10/SF Pro 13 upgrade has been the most difficult I've ever experienced.
