I am not sure if this is still a problem for others but I just realized why Acid Pro crashes in my case. It is when I try opening an MP3 file. It was the case in initial version of 10 which made me steer away to Ableton. I came back after Magix fixed a major issue but this problem is still there! After I click out of the error window, Acid Pro closes.
I am attching a screenshot of the dreadful window I get and I have sent the form multiple times. I don't think it is going anywhere. Please help!
Things are getting worse on my end here. At first it was just MP3 files crashing Acid but now it seems as if something else is doing it, too. I have re-installed it 3 times today alone, it would work the first time, then I'm flying a dead-stick again as Acid won't get past the opening screen. I really don't think the PC is the issue as this is the 2nd PC (I have two in studio).
This PC is almost in the 'beast' category when it comes to running demanding applications but seems like its not enough for Acid.
Previous PC: 16g ram, Ryzen 5, Windows 10, SSD Hard Drive
Current PC: 32Gig RAM, i7 intel CPU, SSD NVM M.2 Hard Drive, Windows 10 and the PC is about 17 days old.

Yup. Situation sucks. I was like a kid in Toys-R-Us when version 8 came out after so many years, I think I must have been the first customer to buy it as I was watching Magix.com like a hawk! only never to be able to actually use it. The dark screen killed the joy. I continued buying all the version thereafter hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel, many things have been fixed up until now but now the damn thing is crashing! But I love Acid that I keep re-installing it as much as it wants me to.

Check your Antivirus is not blocking the program for reading and writing to the required folders Acid uses.
There is an increasing prevalence of issues with some programs being blocked from reading/writing to folders, this also includes folders where temporary files are created on the PC, by Ransomeware/Folder protection modules of Antivirus programs.
Windows Defender, Avast, AVG and BitDefender have been known to do this.

Tried your suggestions, none have helped unfortunately. I even turned off Virus/defender process entirely but the second I click on an MP3 file within Acid, it crashes. So, for now, I am back to version 7 (I still own versions 8, 9 and 10) yet unable to use them for various reasons.

Just tried un-installing completely, even down to registry and re-installed. Still the same problem. I guess I can live with it. I am just thankful to Magix for reviving it. I just cannot see myself working in any other DAW environment. Acid is what I started with and thats what I am sticking to. Thank you for attempting to help out and providing solutions. Currently I am back to Acid 7 but just re-installed 10 and will just avoid using MP3 files.
it's just AP10 that you're having this issues?
In AP10, go to help -> about -> Components, and paste the contents there. Also the version from the General Tab - not your email address or your serial number
When it crashes, paste the text from Show Problem Details - feel free to censor out anything personal in there, e.g. windows profile name.
MP3s definitely work in AP10, so if we can't help you solve this you should contact support about this specific issue.
