Online content library

Hi

Among the effects of my MEP11 I didn't find an effect or fade that would have pleased me for one task.  There is a possibility to load more effects from OCL (Online Content Library).  But I can't find OCL anywhere.  If I try to open it by MEP, it fails to make contact.  And I can't find any trace of OCL from the site of Magix.

Is OCL obsolete (MEP 11 is rather old)?  Is there any other place to download more effects for MEP 11?

Hi

The online content library is at www.catooh.com - language selection is at bottom left of home page if it comes up in German.

Hi,

I'm just curious: what is the effect you like please?

Thank you both for your replies.  Anyhow, Catooh didn't help at all, but it's good to know it exists.

Terry, what I needed was this: I have a scene where a boy is in the lower left part of the screen and falling in sleep.  Then I wanted some area, perhaps round, to appear in the upper right part either fading in or growing from a spot.  And in that area would a dream play.  I wouldn't want the round area to grow full screen, but leave the boy visible.  This scene would last only some ten seconds or so.

I haven't found a perfect solution, but decided to do it this way: I flipped the whole scene to be a mirror image.  Then I used a transition named Wiping/Circle Top.  It opens from the upper left corner and can't be selected otherwise; that's why I flipped the scene.  It also opens up to full screen wiping the boy out, but I just have to be satisfied with that.

Glad you found an acceptable work-around. Are you familiar with KFA? That would let you make more flexible 'picture-in-picture' effects. And there are some effects like Quake and Pixel Fade that might be useful. Combining some of those crudely gave me this sort of dream effect:

Thank you, Terry

I think I'm out of luck.  Keyframe Animation is explained in the Help but I understand that it is only in Plus version of the program.  And mine is not Plus.  At least I can't find KFA in my program.

Time to upgrade to a more current version, RSuonio!

But you should have most of the basic features to size and position and zoom, such as this dialog (taken from an old screenshot in 2008 when I suppose I too was using MEP11):

I am very much willing to upgrade both Magix and my PC - as soon as I win in Lotto.  But for now I have to get on with what I have - my pension is very limited.

I haven't even checked out Story Maker, I thought that it just does automatic editions.  But I will check it now, thank you.
