Ongoing Issues

Hi, i wonder if anyone can help me, i have been using the Acid products for many years ever since the early days my last being Acid pro 7, but I have never had so many issues as when i have updated to Acid pro 10 ?

i don't usually post in forums but there seems to be a lot of clutches that i am experiencing with this latest version and i was wondering if it is only me ?

i have had issues with my VST plugins not loading up when i load a project from start up, but then when i load it from the file menu it works fine, i have had issues where it will just crash on me , and then when i reopen and it asks if i would like to continue from auto save and i say "yes" i just get a series of blips and have to restart it all over, losing any work i have already done ? sometimes ill load it up and it wont play anything and the most annoying is if i minimize it, and then click on the taskbar to bring it back up again it wont come back up and i have to close the program and restart it !!

i have always really enjoyed Acid products and as mentioned have worked on them for years but this is now become and increasing pain in making music.

i am currently running it on Windows 10 , 64-bit operating system

can anyone help ?

@Stuart-Black, everything you mentioned are known issues with AP. I've had everyone of those things happen to me (more than once) The program just crashing out of the blue and losing hours of work is infuriating. (happened to me yesterday and I'm still pissed)

But the work a round's are, run the program as 'Administrator' and save your work at every turn (Ctrl + s) Other then that there's not much more you can do. Using this program (and I use it everyday it's my main DAW) is like walking on thin ice or through a mine field.

The only REAL help is Magix it self. The program needs to be fixed and only they can do it. My guess is AP11 will be out next year (maybe later this year) and these issues, along with others, need to be addressed before this program can move forward and not be loaded with more 'blotware' i.e. Morph Pad and Stem Maker, to sell the program. These are serious issues that Magix MUST fix.

Best of luck to you, Cheers

Yes, the bloatware is definitely unnecessary. AcidPro is so powerful with unmatched workflow that it doesn't need additional bloating to sell. Once the original issues are solved, it will sell on it's own. But per Magix' last email, they will start working on issues starting this year, I will get back on AcidPro once the major issues are attended to.
