Once I ran the online update, larger files will no longer render... Told me to disable smart render, did so, still won't render files...

Files longer than about 1 minute will no longer render, I'm using movie edit pro 17 download version. with windows vista, on a quad core 2.4ghz machine with 4 gigs ram.

If I load any video file longer than a few minutes and try to re-render it as anything (wmv, avi, mpg whatever) it gets stuck and does not finish the render.

Trying to burn files or projects to dvd also does not work...

The mpg files will not burn to dvd, gets stuck encoding movie. Either using smart render, or disabling it, same problem. I paid for this software, and have enjoyed using it, but now it simply does not work anymore. I tried everything I could think of, including the online update.

Please help!

I managed to get the file I wanted to make a dvd from to work, by first converting the mpg file to a .vob file...

This is a strange problem, seemed to really not like that one mpg file, and I'm not sure why. Anyone?
