On screen keyboard makes no sound

First, i have gone through every post i could find on the topic and i have watched numerous videos on sound output issues with MMM. After trouble shooting through the various setting for Direct sound, Wave driver, ASIO Driver and Wasapi Driver i have still yet to resolve the issue. sound will be recorded under the wave driver and WASAPI Driver options but when i hit a key on the virtual keyboard i get nothing. i have also tried with my midi which has the same results, it will record but when i play a key i get no sound.

Thank you in advance and hopefully this frustration pays off when i can record some music.

I had the same problem whilst trying to use MM and Ableton, I downloaded ASIO4ALL driver and that cured the problem.

Thank you for the reply, I downloaded the ASIO4ALL driver and it now allows me to record sound with all the different options but i still do not get any sound when i push the keys during the recording. I have a microsoft Surface pro 7 if this is any help.
