On one specific project I can't hear the instruments

Music Maker 28.0.2.47. Windows 10 Home. Realtek Audio

I've been working on a project for a while. Today, I opened it up and I can't hear any instruments when I play it.

There is a wav file imported into the project and I can hear that. I can open other projects and hear their instruments. I can hear sample music and the metronome on this project just not any instruments.

Is there a project setting that might be wrong?

Thanks for the comment.

It isn't that. In the project nothing is muted. Nothing is in solo mode. Nothing is in any record mode.

I have tried every kind of audio driver, wav, direct sound, ASIO, WASAPI. I've seen the many posts about how these drivers can cause problems and nothing there helped.

Here is what is very different in this project. When I play the project there is no audio level movement is the mixer/eq. It's like the project think that nothing is there.

Hi

. . . . In the project nothing is muted. Nothing is in solo mode. Nothing is in any record mode . . . .

I would suggest you read the comment I linked to it, the link takes you direct to the relevant comment - there is no mention of muted or solo modes and you definitely need to arm the track for recording MIDI.

. . . . does anyone recommend reinstalling music maker? will I loose anything? . . . .

Only as a last resort after trying everything else and no you will not lose your projects

I've found the answer. It looks like the instrument editor crashed in some way. I'll attach a screenshot. To fix it I just opened the MIDI editor then opened the instrument editor. Then I was able to reset it by selecting the instrument type. Following this, the sound worked and everything else was back to normal.
