Okay, so I just bought my Music Maker 2014 bundle pack yesterday Feb 18/2014 @ Best Buy. I downloaded the software, (yada yada) no problems. When it came down to typing in my Serial Numbers it kept saying this message: Contact Magix Support error code -1

Trying to figure out why my serial numbers will not work when I try to activate them for Music Maker 2014. Keeps saying " Contact Customer support Error Code -1 any one have an idea why?

Hi,

We are all users here, not Magix support so unless someone on this user forum has experienced this error we don't have access to the error codes.  Have you tried contacting Magix sales?  They are typically responsible for activation problems but perhaps this particular error requires you contact magix support.

I would call instead of email if you want a faster resolution to the problem and have your serial number available when you call.

Thanks, I tried contacting them today but I guess it was to late so I am going to have to try again tomorrow. Just wanted to say thanks for the help.

Victor,

As I recall I had trouble with the code too.  It's because I was either using a zero instead of the letter O or the number one instead of the letter "I"  If that's the case with your code try changing out the letters/numbers and see if that works.

This issue refuses to go away....it just might be that you are typing incorrectly and if you type a number instead of a letter,,that might be yor problem...and I hope that is all that it is....however, people who bought thru BestBuy in the past were having problems with the activation codes also and i find it hard to believe that all these people were typing entries incorrectly.  No one ever came back to post what the answerre was to their problem, but they all went away so I asume athe issue was fixed.  I personally remember 4 different posts about this.  Please let us know what the outcome is.

I've been trying it all day, seems the outcome has not changed. You can not type letters it is a numbers only activation code. I am going to call them in the morning to hopefully get this resolved.

Normally your activaation codes look like this P2-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.  I would go back to BestBuy and have them try to activate for yoou...if they get the Green check mark to show sucess, then yu emter your e-mail....then stop, go home. log into Magix, go to Help files and link onto "download additional content and instruments" or some similar message.    lemme know
