i have a dvd home movie that id like to save the soundtrack to a cd..can magix do this?i used to be able to do this without any software but i forgot how..thanks
The simple answer is yes if it is not a copyright audio track. If you can import the file to ACl, you should be able to export it to .mp3 or .wav. What I don't understand is how you were able to do this in the past without any software. What Magix program were you using before that allowed you to do this and now for whatever reason you need to use Audio Cleaning Lab?
ok how would i do this with magix audio cleaning lab?well i did use a software..i had to..what i did was connect the audio portion to the line in on my dvd player line out to the line in on my pc soundcard..then id connect the video out to the video in on my tv..i know when the music i want would start so id watch the tv moniter and hit the record on neros wave editor..when the soundtrack was finished id just hit stop button on the wave editor.and thats how i do it.i found that magix was a lot better than nero so i 86ed nero in favor of magix..
. . . . what i did was connect the audio portion to the line in on my dvd player line out to the line in on my pc soundcard . . .
That is not the best way of doing what you want - the audio quality will suffer.
Assuming your compter has a DVD drive - insert the DVD disc and use Windows explorer to browse it.
Locate the Video_TS folder - in there you will find two or more VOB files - the video file is shown below - note depending on the length of the video there may be more each will be sequentially numbered
Copy the movie file(s) to your hard drive - then change the file extension from VOB to MPG .
You can now import the audio direct into ACL without losing quality - note if there are 2 or more video files you will have to join the audio up.
