Please do not put up with this but instead PM one of the moderators with full details of your concerns and ask for the case to be investigated. If there is clear evidence that one or more users is behaving abusively towards others the abuser WILL be banned from the forums.

I fully agree with what you wrote, in the Magix community there are no real musicians, only music lovers. Some really know how to compose while others make use of pre-made Loops from Magix or other manufacturers. This does not mean that when each of us publishes something we expect to be heard and all opinions are pleasing. I listen to practically all the songs that are published, some of them like others less, but I always try to encourage whoever composed the song. I consider it abhorrent to throw garbage on someone from the community ... but unfortunately, as in everyday life there are professors ... I have been in the community since 2007, I have seen all sorts of things, I have learned not to care these characters. I do not consider you and here I hit them .... in my part they say ::: do not worry about those who do not deserve it

Und du meinst, das es auf Dauer etwas bringt, das man diese User, die Unruhe stiften ignoriert? Man sollte diese Leute hier für immer sperren, damit sie keinen weiteren Schaden anrichten. Magix sollte hier konsequenter durchgreifen und handeln finde ich. Aber sie haben (glaube ich) zu wenig Mitarbeiter, die sich darum kümmern, weil sie noch andere Sachen zu haben, was ich ja auf der anderen Seite auch verstehe

I realise this may not be what you mean because the translation is literal. However, as I read what you write, Moderators certainly do not ignore these users who cause trouble. Magix don't take action because the staff rarely visit here; Moderators can, and do, if the situation is brought to their attention.

Speaking for myself, and assuming these offensive and abusive posts are made in the Media area of the forum, I will happily admit I don't regularly visit that area so have not seen any such posts. Hence my advice to PM one of us; this draws our attention to the post(s) in question and allows us to use our authority to remove the posts and the poster!

Hi gentlemen

This issue has been going on for long enough in the media community, it is nothing to do with the forums.

It's in the Media Community where we post our music. Some members have had insulting comments on their music.

These trolls use multiple accounts and profiles to annoy members and as a result has forced members to leave the media community.

I was messaged last night from a member who said they left the community for the very same reason as they were being picked on from an abusive member, they reported the matter and there was no response from Magix.

They agreed that if a moderator was put in place in the media community it would make a difference and it would also encourage them to return.

As forum moderators gentlemen you understand your role and purpose is to bring a level of control and make the forum a welcoming place to discuss problems without any issues and offer valuable information and make the forum a peaceful platform for all.

But within the media community there are no moderators to offer a similar environment and there is no one present to ensure all members follow the community guidelines.

We need a moderator who would monitor the media community and collate any information from other members being abused, the very presence of a moderator would surely reduce any amount of trolls looking to make trouble and upset the community in general.

By making such progress and positive changes it would also encourage members to return and share their media content such as music, videos and photos etc.

I feel it's very important that the media community maintain a peaceful and welcoming community for those from all backgrounds and various hobbies and skill levels to post and share their music and media.

Some members have received offensive comments about their music. These trolls use multiple accounts and profiles to annoy members and therefore have forced members to leave the media community. I was notified last night by a member who said they left the community for the same reason they were selected by an abusive member. You reported the matter and there was no response from Magix. They agreed that having a moderator would make a difference in the media community and encourage them to return as well. As forum moderators, gentlemen, understand that your role and goal is to provide some level of control and make the forum a welcoming place to discuss problems without any hassle, provide valuable information and make the forum a peaceful platform for all. However, within the media community there are no moderators offering a similar environment, and there is no one in attendance to ensure that all members are following community guidelines. We need a moderator who oversees the media community and gathers all information from other members that is being abused. The presence of a moderator would certainly reduce the number of trolls wanting to cause trouble and anger the community in general. Such advances and positive changes would also encourage members to return and share their media content such as music, videos and photos, etc. I find it very important that the media community maintain a peaceful and welcoming community for people of different backgrounds and different hobbies and skills to publish and share their music and media. Just to check this, I went into the Media section of the forums and checked whether I have access to the profile of anyone posting there, I do and so can block or even delete their account.

So, as I suggested before, PM a moderator with links to the specific thread, also naming the abusive poster and action will be taken.

its not the actual forum for posting messages and it’s not a thread Jeff, just to be clear and make sure there is no misunderstanding, it’s the actual music community where members are uploading their music, a moderator put in place in the actual music community would serve a better role in monitoring and collecting information and witnessing any incidents such as in abusive and insulting comments to members.

As moderators you can’t monitor the forums and the media community at the same time.

For example, Imagine if there were no moderators present in the forums?

That’s why I feel there is a strong case to introduce a moderator whose sole responsibility is to ensure peace and harmony within the community of its musicians and help maintain its membership, to be honest the membership has been dwindling, so why not make progress and encourage those who are lurking in the background to return.🤝👍

That's right. I agree with @PATIENT-X DjProject. Yes, banish ****** people from Magix.info, as these types of ****** cannot exist here at Magix.info.

While you agree with @PATIENT-X sentiments regarding trolling and provocation, you have 'hoisted yourself by your own petard' to be categorised in the same class as the 'offender(s)' with stereotyping and the use of provocative/derogatory words which cause offense - the forum is a world-wide asset for users of Magix software and what may be considered day to day language in your locale can have very different interpretations and consequences elsewhere.

I had an insulting comment left on my song page today, it came across as immature and irresponsible, these silly comments have no affect on me, so your wasting your time. This comment was deleted today.

But some members are being affected by such abusive behavior and it is driving them away from the Magix community.

But this nonsense has to stop, we need to encourage and continue to try and promote a friendly and peaceful community for all members from all backgrounds and musical experience for example: Hobbyist, amateur and professional individuals to share and even learn talents / skills from others .

I have been informed from Magix that any member who continues to be abusive to others will be monitored and dealt with accordingly.

So from today I hope this nonsense stops completely.

Anyone who has left any current or previous abusive / insulting or provocative comments on a members music posting comments page, should delete them as a show of support to help improve community relations.

Any member who creates multiple profiles to simply leave abusive comments, will be dealt with accordingly under the Magix community guidelines.

Respect the opinions and views of other members of the community.Insults, coarse language, and harassment of any kind toward other community members is forbidden. Avoid provoking other members and keep your comments factual and objective. Angry posts written to blow of steam will be deleted. Members of the community who write such posts will be warned. Repeat violations will result in removal from the community.  

Multiple registrations made by one and the same person are not permitted. These results in confusion, false evaluation results, and mistrust among users. The administrators reserve the right to delete accounts which can be verified as doubles.

As the moderators have stated already, please contact them through messages with details of the members causing said abuse and a link to the page in question.

Once Again: From now on I would like to see abusive comments deleted from all members affected to start afresh.

Just to let everyone know how strongly I feel about maintaining a peaceful community, I write this while being very ill due to an allergic reaction tonight.

Please Remember, some members are elderly and on their own, this community provides that comfort zone to meet new friends and chat with others and even collaborate with their music.
To be driven away leaves them vulnerable and alone, more so during the pandemic, to me that is cruel.

You can communicate factual criticism in a constructive way and shouldn't be right away Write devastating and negative comments that don't leave anyone else uncomfortable.

In the outside world there are perpetrators, victims and followers.

In the community HERE you can also stand above things!

And I think everyone here always has a choice.

I cannot say I know what ( or who) the current instigator is but I can say that the atmosphere had become very unpleasant and insulting remarks from a person caused me to stay off of Magix.

I think a moderator is an excellent idea and Stephen, you have my vote 👍

You have posted a rant to a thread which concerns a specific problem encountered by users of the Media area of the forum. Thus you are, in effect, hijacking another user's thread. This is in direct contravention of the Community rules and therefore deserves to be hidden!

However I will leave the post visible, at least temporarily, since I'm sure @PATIENT-X will reply directly to you when he reads your post.

As one of those who replied to your now closed thread I must also comment here. You were very clearly told that you extend the music track of your slideshow, either by importing additional music tracks to your slideshow timeline, or by repeating some of the tracks that you have already used. There is no other way!

You received a number of replies to your question, including at least one urging you to watch the available tutorials on using Photostory. Did you do that? If not, why not?

I don't think anyone was annoyed by your original question, but rather by your apparent unwillingness to even attempt to do as you were advised. All who post here, including those of us who are moderators, are users, not Magix employees and we are under absolutely NO obligation to even attempt to help; the fact that we are willing to try to do so is a clear indication that we will always do our best to offer advice, even to those who seem unable or unwilling to accept it.
