No Success Installing Sound Forge Audio Studio 16 Trial

Is there someone who can help me.

I downloaded Sound Forge Audio Studio 16 Trial to determine if it would be worth considering buying a better Pro version for a new Hi-end machine.

I started by downloading the file. I ran the installation file: trial_soundforgeaudiostudio16_dlm_jep0bd--phdeqV16xgsHQpDpcU.exe

I ran the file, said it had completed, and did NOTHING. There was NO desktop icon, no taskbar icon, NOTHING. I ran the installation file again which said it would uninstall the previous installation before installing again. What! There wasn't a previous version - nothing worked.  I discovered an uninstall file  and ran it. Nothing happened. I then ran in the installation file again.  Surprise! Message on on screen told me that the installation was successful and I was asked to register. I did but then told me that I had already used the email address before. I have never had contact with with Magix in my life.  I then entered my other email address and received 2 emails without any registration code for a TRIAL C- . Then I gave up. It's not in my nature to give up.  But I am doing so now. I know I have a dated PC, but it runs software that is handles very powerful professional CGF software.

@Stephen-Thornton

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

First, and with apologies, I have edited your post to remove the "double-posting" and to hide the Device ID and Product ID of your computer, which are personal to you and should never be posted to a public forum, like this one.

When you attempted the installation for the first time, when it had finished did you check whether there was a listing in Start>Programs for SFAS 16? (I can't remember whether a desktop icon is automatically created or whether it is a selectable option.)

The problem of the email address(es) is one which only customer service can assist with, I think, via email to infoservice@magix.net. I know Magix are about to begin a major systems update (it was due to begin earlier today but has now been postponed to start on Monday morning) so I am not sure how long you will need to wait for a reply.

However, if you are testing SFAS 16 in order to discover if it would be worth buying a better Pro version, assuming you are referring to Sound Forge Pro, why not download and install its trial version?

If there was no shortcut installed on your desktop, how did you open Sound Forge? .. from the SOUND FORGE folder in Program files?
Was SF installed to the C\ drive?

When SF is installed, a "Magix" folder created in your 'Documents' folder which has the unpacked installation file, if you clicked the <.exe> that would reinstall SF. You can delete the file or keep it if you wish to re-install.

I have assumed you have perused the Version Comparison web page which states the differences between SF 'Audio Studio', SF 'Pro' or SF 'Pro Suite'.

As @emmrecs stated, you need to email Magix most serial code issues.
