Whilst copying a video the following message appeared:

The recording was stopped automatically Cause: There is no space left in the record directory.124MB:

If I edit and burn to DVD the video copied so far would the system then release the space in the directory for further copying?

Or do I have to delete any files to provide space?

My computer is a Dell Insprion 530 with Vista operating system

The software being used is:Magix Movie_Edit_Pro_MX_Plus_Download_Version 11.0.1.4(UDC2)

I don't know what to do can anyone help.

Many thanks

Hi

Hi we need more information - what is your computer specificationInclude hard drive(s) sizes and free space

. . . . There is no space left in the record directory.124MB: . . .

This suggests that there is no free space where you are recording to - where is the folder you are trying to record to- this will be in the program settings - press the Y key to open the settings dialog and look for the location of the Recordings setting.

Is this a hard drive or some other device?

. . . .burn to DVD the video copied so far would the system then release the space . . .

No - in fact if the drive is full and depending on your computer configuration,  then you will probably not even be able to do this.
