Hi

. . . . No matter what i run sound through in the settings I get nothing through my headset or through my hd audio in my monitor . . . .

Did you try this solution?

If that did not work, then depending on how the monitor audio is delivered to the monitor ie via HDMI or a seperate audio cable from the audio out of the PC and assuming you are referring to the Realtek HDA audio device try the following:

Check the Windows default output device is set correctly:

  1. right click the speaker in the Windows Taskbar bottom right of the desktop
  2. select Playback devices
  3. audio via HDMI - select Realtek HDMI Output then Set Default
  4. audio via separate cable - select Speakers then Set Default

In Music Maker select the appropriate output device set above in the options shown below

Note:

Once the above are set correctly there are 2 possible scenarios:

If the audio to the monitor is via HDMI and the headphones are plugged into the PC audio out socket (front or rear), you may have to change the output device when you switch from monitor audio to headphones.

If the audio to the monitor is via separate cable and the headphones are plugged into the monitor or the PC audio out socket (front or rear), then it should not be necessary to change anything - the headphones will cut out the monitors speakers.
