No MIDI Realtime Audio

Over the last couple of months this problem has gotten worse.

I can see that my USB-MIDI keyboard is sending signals (the audio bars light up in software) but there is no playback of the sound. The ASIO is set to the MAGIX default (channel 1-2). Sometimes it won't even play any MIDI sound when playing back something I recorded. Often, I can record, but cannot hear what I have just played until I play-back the recording.

Now it used to work, and no settings were changed since I purchased the software. Updates to the software have been done as released. About 2-3 months ago, it just starting having this problem.

I used to use the ASIO from my Sound Blaster Z, but several months ago MAGIX stopped being able to detect it. From there, the problems started escalating. Now it's a 50-50 chance I can even get any sound out of the software. I've tried updating, uninstalling, re-installing, and still it's a dice roll.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I use an external Edirol audio interface. It does appear in my list of audio outputs. However if I select these within Music Maker also with the Edirol ASIO driver the program started to fail to detect the interface a lot of the time. However if I use a different output - such as ASIO4ALL or the FLStudio ASIO output it works fine through the Edirol interface.

Yes I have midi problems along the same lines as yours. As I don't know if this forum is monitored for bug fixes, I recomment you send your problem to contactus@magix.net . It will automatically open a ticket with them. The more of us that open a ticket for this problem, the faster they'll try to fix it (hopefully).
