I went on YouTube and found a video to increase the CPU on my computer and I made sure all the windows were closed and nothing else was running.

Do you mean overclocking the CPU?

If not what was the actual fix, a link to the video may help.

I know you have to be careful if you 'overclock' your CPU so I just turned it up a bit to get better performance out of my PC for rendering. Here is the link from YouTube:
