I do not recall the exact menu particulars in SF-8.. that was many moons ago.

But in SF Pro 10 and beyond, "Edit> Paste special> Mix" or (Ctrl+ M).. or.. right-click at the desired timeline position and select 'Mix'.

x-fade parameters are at the bottom of the 'Mix' or other process' windows (click the "More" button for additional parameters).

in *8* this is the crossfade option....it is in the edit/ paste special drop down menu.

Doesn't seem to exist in 10 or 11, all one sees is edit/paste special/mix/overwrite/replicate/paste to new

I was wondering if it has been hidden?

Basically the same.


You could also try the 'event' mode, which is more x-fade friendly, and similar to Vegas and CD Architecture timeline behavior
