Some vst files were blacklisted, but still show up and are usable even Magix plugins have been blacklisted. Hahah! WOW. What in the world? I'm at a loss.

30.0.4.44 is the current one that is right. Crashing and not loading VSTs over here in Texas. What can be done.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 11:33 PM

Same update on my end. My brain is fried from scanning folders for vsts and editing scan files.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 11:45 PM

I opened a troubleticket. The auto email reply came back in German Language. I will use Google translator I guess.

Mindpaint wrote on 12/22/2021, 6:03 PM

I agree with EVERYONE posting the following:
Update to 30.0.4.44 gives you this:
a. More crashes
b. Loss of stereo waveform displays in loops added to arranger
c. No Switching between Time & Measure/bar display by clicking it just below arranger
d. / and * keys no longer change pitch of loops in arranger in real time
e. Likely other things not yet discovered
f. Documentation that doesn't match the product anymore
My advise to ANYONE who has not upgraded? DON'T DO IT!
...Oh, and it uses more resources for sure!
The real kick in the pants is that I have three open cases for these issues, and here's what I have been told...

"Essentially, Music Maker is currently undergoing a process of a lot of changes in the graphical user interface - both the kind that are visible to you, as well as change of the underlying GUI technology. In this case, the transport control has been re-implemented with the new technology. This means the functionality for switching the time units and switching to remaining time/countdown mode via the conext menu of the timer have just been left out and not re-implemented for now. (As you already know by now, you can still reach and change the very same setting by right-clicking the actual timeline above the first arrangement track and harmony bar.) The typical pattern for these changes has been that old features will be re-implemented step by step, if they are still desired in the future, especially if they have been explicitly requested by users who are missing them now. So, this means that this functionality is definitely on the wish list now, and I'll be pushing for it with our development team."

"ON THE WISH LIST"????... It was "in the product" just a few weeks ago!!!
Please someone let me know how I can roll back 2 or three versions. I asked support via one of my open cases and got "chirp chirp chirp".

Please someone let me know how I can roll back 2 or three versions.

When I tried MM2022 I had a graphics error because my Intel graphics were too old. Magix gave me links to the older versions.

go back to version 30.0.2.30 via this link:

http://dl04.magix.net/2021/MusicMaker30/Music_Maker_30.0.2.30_INT_210830_17-00_8A2D0E21.exe

If, however, you found that this was a problem of generation 2022 altogether, you could go back to generation 2021 (29.x) via this link:

That's worrisome. What graphics chip does your system have?

(I have an i5-7500t system, with 630 graphics. It seems even newer i5s are using the 630 graphics.)

Mine are much older - Intel 520 HD. I don't think 630 graphics will be a problem.

Hi Graham

. . . .  I had a graphics error because my Intel graphics were too old . . . . Intel 520 HD . . . .

The HD 520 should not be a problem so long as you have DirectX 12 installed.

What version of Windows are you running?

Hi John

I have Windows 10 which is updated. The error said I needed GL2.0 graphics which the Intel 520HD is. I ran the diagnostic tool Magix sent and they said it's not good enough for MM2022. I have DirectX 12 installed. The only solution is to run older versions.

@Graham-Hawker

Hi Graham

After doing some digging it would appear that the Intel HD 520 chipset/drivers do have/had some OpenGL compability problems. IIRC, at one point Intel drivers did not fully support OpenGL, however that was many years ago.

The new update has made MMM completely unusable. Really amazing quality control here is missing here. Can't even fetch my new soundpools. If I press something, I have to wait between 30 seconds to 5 minutes for the reaction. I've tried uninstall, reinstall, uninstall with Wise365 and reinstall.
In settings:
I've tried changing different sound outputs ASIO, Wave and Direct. I've reset the VST paths.
I've also tried moving all MxSynth except Concert Grand LE to another folder.

Trouble starts already on the log-in page. Just accepting my log-in details can take some time ...

All HELL BROKE LOSE after I installed the new update (December 2021) and then redeemed the new Vita Cello.
I have a feeling it's a gfx issue somewhere. I have a Dell Inspiron with an Intel UHD Graphics 620.

I'd be available for screen share for support.

I kind of thought this was Technical Support. That's what I thought I had invested my time in. Perhaps it was just ruse links, to ensure even more stressed and disappointed clients :/ )

TK_ wrote on 1/11/2022, 4:24 AM

Some users seems to have problems with sound quality.

I did also with my old computer. But I bought a new computer - an old Dell desktop with Intel Xeon. Now I have much more less problems with sound than earlier.

The key is now - I guess - the way the sound comes into my ears. Now I have a desktop computer (running Win10) with Firewire-connection (via Adaptec's PCI-card) to Focusrite's Saffire Pro 24. Old stuff, I know, but it works great.

jakobjoergensen wrote on 3/6/2022, 6:22 AM

Do you have an update on the issues with
- Intel® UHD Graphics 620
... where MMM30 becomes completely unusable?

Contacted support, and a nice man (***f) told me he had identified the issue to be related to the Intel® UHD Graphics 620.
Since then, radio silence, though I've kindly asked for an update.

Do you know when this bug will be fixed and one again would be able to use MMM30 ?

All the best,

Jake

@jakobjoergensen As far as I know support can already give you a beta patch that should solve the problem. You can also wait until the next official patch arrives, but I don't know when this will happen.

How does I make that happen ?

Music Maker Version 30.0.4.44 BUG

When you now select the TempoPitch/Resample -- a side meu pops open but there are no controls to do anything... The Tempo dials, bars, sliders, graph scope, and everything are completely missing [i.e. blank, and the side meu does nothing]

Bill-Tarling wrote on 3/10/2022, 8:59 PM

Is there any way to revert back to the previous version [or will it just require downloading and reinstalling the old version completely from scratch? This Music Maker Version 30.0.4.44 is so unstable (has already crash 5 times in first hour) and is missing most of the controls previously available...

And NO, "We're Working On Some Redesigns" is NOT a satisfactory solution... Music Maker Version 30.0.4.44 should have been listed as an unfinished Beta version, not marked as a Stable Release (which also claimed it had fixed all stability issues, but instead made it even more unstable and unusable)

Hi

. . . . (has already crash 5 times in first hour) and is missing most of the controls previously available. . . . .

Were there any error messages, or information in the crash log detailing on what crashed the program?

The missing controls may be an issue with the Visual C++ redistributables - see this Support article and re- install them.

Dear friends, dispute the last update, there are many things changed that works very well and now many of us are lost and disappointed, because we have to learn again for example. The bar + o - does not have anymore the button center. The update is good to help us to make easier, not to do harder

That's what I've been trying to figure out. Every time I update the software, they go and change one of the functions and it leaves me flabbergasted! around 2018-2019 they redid the interface and did away with the drum editor, so we had to learn how to work with the midi drums. So now, they've changed the midi drum editor, so I have to relearn how to operate that. Before 2019 There was a loop bar in which worked with right clicks and left clicks, setting the beginning and ending of a loop that I wanted to repeat. Now I have to struggle with it and most times, have to decrease the size of the program tracks just so I can grab the start of the loop bar, as it no longer wants to adjust as it previously used to just by clicking it. That takes a lot of time out of my work flow because I'm constantly having to do this when I'm editing recordings.

The thing is, why can't they just leave it be when it works?

Mine stalls on bootup in the loading soundpools window since April. Now my version of Acid is affected this week as well. I did clean installs with a cleanup, including registry, in between with computer restarts. Loss of my sound pools in the public file as well. I should've backed that up.
