I've no idea why or how Titler Pro 6 started to work again or why it can be launched as a stand-alone plug-in. I would have thought it would only be available inside of MEP or VPX.

Thanks for the heads up on the file format. I played around some more and I can export a file from the Titler package but can't seem to get it to apply to a clip within MEP. Curiously although the file cannot be read by windows (possibly because I too do not have the QuickTime player on my system, just the basic stuff) and the files show no image within the editor import section, the files do play within MEP. (at least the mov. files do. I have yet to try exporting as PNG.)

The curious thing is the data from such a file as read by media Info.

Again it lists the file format info as PNG.

You can see the Windows sections of the folders are not showing thumbnails but plays when reviewed or paced on the timeline. It's possible this just locks the application to being used with MEP but seems a clunky solution somehow. I'm sure before New Blue Titler Pro 6 broke on my system the first time I could get it to apply to a clip though. Could the absence of the QuickTime player have something to do with that I wonder. That seems doubtful to me but I do like some of the harder to recreate presets in this program now that I've finally been able to see them.

More work done. My copy will not work within MEP or VPX.

It does work as a stand-alone program and produces files that are giving a transparent background or alpha mask if you prefer in the mov. format that windows can't play. They are playable within MEP and VPX though so at least I can make titles if not timed to a given clip. I have found it to be an easy program to use and understand but each time I try to use it within it MEP tells me my graphics card is not supported and quits. I have noticed NBT6 is doing this in my 4K 50fps projects but in stand alone mode it only supports resolutions of up to 1080p so maybe that is where the problem lies

Does not work here either - different issue though - will not load the vsx, says it is missing or incompatible.

Additionally I have similar issues with:

1. Hitfilm Movie Essentials, NB Elements 3 Overlays and NB ColorFast 2 won't work or stay installed - they are there but won't load
2. Mercalli 5 Pro and RT will not unlock - click the Unlock button - no activation dialog not nothing.
3. Cloud import link does not work either.

Annoying because all this is on a clean install of OS, MEP and VPX, and these issues started after another .NET update (KB4580419) I had delayed until getting everything installed and working.

AFAICS it was not the AV blocking it was turned off during the installs. I was using Windows Defender, however I have gone back to Avast today to try and fix the issues - I have a serious mistrust of Windows Defender.

Hi John.

I have used HME and NBE 3 on a few projects with no problems and they are both currently working. I don't have Mercalli 5 Pro. I'm not sure what RT is. I've never used cloud imports so don't know. I have both Avast and Windows defender running and as far as I know all Windows updates with the following exceptions.

Boris Particle Illusion still hangs on startup.

Looks like another Windows update is ready.
