"Network resource unavailable" error when loading file

whitney-smith wrote on 1/4/2018, 3:25 PM

Hey all,

New to Magix (Music Maker 25.1.2.78) and I'm having the most difficult time loading a podcast for editing.

When I attempt to load the file, either by drag and drop or browse, I get several dialog boxes.

One says;

  • "...network resource not available",

Another says:

  • I don't have permission and tells me to find another pathway

And then:

  • Windows Installation box pops up both nothing loads. When I cancel this installation, nothing happens either so then I'm forced to close the program via task manager.

If you have any idea of how to troubleshoot this problem it would be appreciated.

The file is in M4A format and was download via a link sent to me from Anchor (a podcast app) I've checked their site to no avail.

Re your question

. . . . The file is in M4A format . . . .

Music Maker does not support M4A file formats, you need to convert it to a supported format - see here under Specifications for supported formats.

Thanks
