Comments johnebaker wrote on 3/29/2016, 3:46 AM Hi Error 1603 usually means there are one of two possible issues: The permissions on the System account are not high enough to uninstall the program - this is probably not the case in this instance. One or more of the programs files are locked, this usually occurs when the program or computer has crashed with the program open. Try the following: Power down the computer completely and restart after about 2 mins, then try uninstalling again. If that fails power down the computer again and restart in Safe Mode and then try uninstalling. Without knowing which version of Windows you have you will have to look up on Google how to start in Safe Mode if you do not know how to do this. Safe mode didnt do anything either. johnebaker wrote on 4/11/2016, 1:05 PM Hi I suspect either: - Windows system files are corrupt - run the sfc /scannow as detailed here - The Windows installer is corrupt and needs updating see here There are 2 other fixes you can try - this fixit and this fixit from Microsoft HTH John EB 1
