I had that happen the first time, also. I can't confirm that it was that exact dll file, but i know it was one of them. I had to delete it and completely re-install it. Worked fine ever since. Might not be the same for you, and I know thats not a super technical response, but it might be worth a shot. Hope it helps.

What program installed audiovis.dll? I am running MM v28 and do not see that in my Process in Task Manager.

Here is a thread that may help: https://www.magix.info/us/forum/install-error-audiovis-dll--731264/

Shek wrote on 4/30/2020, 11:05 PM

C:\Program Files (x86)\MAGIX\Music Maker\28

then is says "musicmaker.exe" which is the new Musicmaker 2020

That is the path of the missing audiovis.dll

AtHomePA wrote on 4/30/2020, 11:41 PM

I have three Win10 computers searching the C: drives for that DLL and they have not returned a result yet. Did you look at the thread in my previous post? Looks like Movie Edit Pro uses or installs that file. I don't have that program installed.

3 PCs - no audiovis.dll -- and be wary of downloading a copy from a website. Search your hard drive for just "audiovis" and see what locations it IS found in.

I'll post here if I find a copy of that file on my fourth Win10 PC which I just fired up.

UPDATE: I installed the Trial version of Movie Edit Pro - it did not install the audiovis.dll onto the system.

Hi again. the file is inside the 28 folder. I have MagixSamplitude and it opens fine but Musicmaker2020 ask for that Dll. When i click Ok, it continues and loads the program'

Thanks for the help

AtHomePA wrote on 5/1/2020, 10:35 AM

I have Samplitude 2019 on one of my PCs, but that file still didn't show up in the search. Maybe it is specific to an external device.

Search your hard drive for that dll and compare versions. If you find a newer/different version and want to replace the suspect one, backup or rename the one you are replacing--- you might need to get it back.

AtHomePA wrote on 5/1/2020, 12:37 PM

My laptop finally located the dll in Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 2 folder. I'll try to upload the screenshot with the file version information.

I cannot upload the dll, but could give you link to the Onedrive folder I placed it in.

Try registering that dll as per instructions in the Magix forum link in previous comment.

@Shek

Hi and welcome to the forum

Download and install Revo Uninstaller and use it to do the uninstall Music Maker, once the uninstall has finished Revo will present you with a list of files etc left behind offering to remove them, allow this to proceed.

After completion of the cleanup. Re-install Music Maker again.

This should fix the Audiovis.dll problem

Hi. I tried the instruction and it did not work. It looks like Musicmaker2020 is installing the musicmaker28folder with the audiovis.dll file and it might be corrupted.

I have seen the audiovis.dll file in other Magix program without an issue.

i will continue to research.

Thanks in advance

Reference folder for the missing audiovis.dll - C:\Program Files (x86)\MAGIX\Music Maker\28

Then it says "musicmaker.exe" which is the new Musicmaker.exe

the error message is behind the blue Music maker logo and just sits there. If not aware , you will think that its just loading.

That is the path of the missing audiovis.dll folder.

Thanks

johnebaker wrote on 5/6/2020, 10:35 AM

@Shek

Hi

Thanks for the screen shots unfortunately the message is too terse it does not tell us where it thinks the AudioVis.dll should be.

. . . . Reference folder for the missing audiovis.dll - C:\Program Files (x86)\MAGIX\Music Maker\28. . . ..

This is the file path to the program that is issuing the error message - it does not mean that is the location of the dll.

After some research the dll would be in

C:\Program Files (x86)\MAGIX\Music Maker\28\RegModule

however, I have no audiovis.dll installed anywhere on my system and Music Maker is working fine for me.

I would suggest you raise a ticket with Magix here

Ok thanks. There are other audiovis.dll files on other Magix programs in my system and they are all working fine.

Samplitude 2020 loads fine but does not have to load a audiovis.dll. I will open a ticket.

Shek wrote on 5/7/2020, 9:01 PM

Hi all. I uninstalled and reinstalled Musicmaker2020 and found out that, the installation is creating a folder called Musicmaker28 and that is the folder the audiovis.dll is missing from upon loading of the program.

emmrecs wrote on 5/8/2020, 4:20 AM

@Shek

Unlike @johnebaker I actually have three instances of audiovis.dll installed on my computer - one in ...Program Files (x86)\MAGIX\Photo Manager Deluxe\17, and one in each of the two versions of Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab I have. In the case of SFACL they are in the RegModule directory.

But quite definitely nothing of the sort anywhere connected directly to MM.

Several posts earlier @AtHomePA posted a link to an old post where a user was experiencing the same problem. The solution seems to be to copy the missing .dll file to the appropriate directory and then possibly register it. I note you said you had a copy of it in your Samplitude installation directory; it should be perfectly fine to copy that one. All the three on my system are identical size and version, 1.0.0.1

Hello everyone.

With regards to the help i was seeking on this question

" Why does premium music maker 2020 error on first loading with "audiovis.dll" in reference to music maker 28 ? "

The only way i was able to resolve the issue was to reinstall windows 10.

As of now my Musicmaker 2020 loads fine without an error.

Thanks to everyone that contributed in resolving this issue.

This Music maker is a great idea, but it's super laggy. I tried reinstalling the app, restarting my computer, but whenever I set an output device in the audio/midi WASAPI driver, it automatically resets to none. This error completely ruined my online concert, how can I fix it?

emmrecs wrote on 3/29/2021, 1:35 PM

@johnnybigpocket

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Unfortunately, your first post here has nothing to do with the thread you have posted in, which is about problems with a specific .dll file in an older version of MM. Please do not hijack threads in this way but rather start a new thread with precise details of your computer, exactly which version and variant of MM you have and exactly what errors you see.

This thread will now be closed.
