music maker wont record while using instrument directley

hi there .I can not get the record to work if I use the keys on cinematic soundscapes. music maker only seems to record from the main keyboard for some reason.any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

That is correct. You cannot record using the little keyboard that is at the bottom of an instrument. The keyboard is only there to try out the different sounds and to see which are the articulation keys (greenish). This is documented in the manual and in my tutorial on Getting Started in Music Maker.

Use the main keyboard with a mouse or by pressing the corresponding keys on your computer keyboard, or an external keyboard with a MIDI connection.
