Music Maker, midistart-3 and sustain pedal

I bought a Casio SP-3 sustain pedal and plugged into the midistart 3 keyboard that comes with the music maker 2013 control but it does not work at all.

I've read the someone says that the pedal cut-off the notes when pressed, in my case that happend only with a vita instrument, but with other vita instruments and vsti nothing happens. There is not sustain or cut-off notes, the pedal seems not to work.

May i to configure the pedal in some place of the software, somewhere to tell the music maker that i have a pedal? Or just simli it does not work with the music maker?

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the club of frustrated VITA Piano users who have experienced a cut-off problem when using a sustain pedal with MAGIX music software.  Your problem seems even more severe since you said the pedal appears not to work at all.  Sorry I don't have an answer other than to advise you and every one else to be sure and fully evaluate a trial version before purchasing MAGIX (or any other) software.  The sustain cut-off problem exists in both SMS 2013 and 2014 but was not a problem in SMS 15.  Note: I have all three versions running on VISTA and/or Windows 7.  I suspect a solution may require a software patch from MAGIX but as of yet they have not addressed it to my knowledge but I'll keep checking for updates!!!  Bottom Line: BUYER BEWARE!!!  Hopefully some other forum member has an answer to get your sustain pedal working properly.  Good Luck!!!
