With latest Music Maker update (30.0.4.44) I'm also encountering freezes. So far it seems that freezing is related to "Store", thus quickly closing startup screen and quickly closing "Store" tab may help (yes, not having access to store is surely going to hurt).

I.e. I did upgrade today (25.12.2021) and I've now repeatedly kind of reproduced that store is not loading content and freezes whole app after a while. Also did try "reset" for store via settings, but it didn't help at all.

hmm... access to store sure freezes up, but so does doing ALT + TAB to switch to switch another app and after that music maker freezes.

Thank you, I have exactly the same issue, this was not a problem in the previous patch.

Hi

Once you get into the program, open the Program Settings, General tab and click Clean up Store, this will restart MMM 2022 and you should be able to login in to the Store correctly without the program freezing.

It is not possible to get to the program settings.. The program do not response at all. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the 2021 version. No problem with the store in this version

As I stated, settings option to clean up store did not help with freezing, what helped was quick speed of closing startup screen, and quickly closing store tab, and closing MM so that it will remember it is closed, and then reopening, now with store closed; then welcome screen did not freeze (i.e. technically behind the welcome screen main application window is happily trying to access store, if it's open, and then freeze).

Did some additional experimentation, after re-enabling "Store" tab, freeze was occurring always soon after.

Perhaps Magix wants to ensure that users are not spending their hard earned cash in theitr store (?!?)...

I tried once more being really fast in 2022 version before total program freeze, and was able to clean up store. It did non solved the problem,

Really fast closing "Store" tab, helped a bit for me :)

Anyway, reported also to MM support with hope to get some assistance from there. Issue must have something to do with this new MM2022 version, since I my previous version was also MM2022, and it did not produce such freezing.

Other freezing thing of MM is that it simply LOVES to constantly scan and rescan and scan again VST plugins, those plugins are surely throughly scanned since they are constantly scanned, or perhaps MM just has amnesia and cannot remember that VSTs it saw few minutes ago... (VST scanning does not seemingly strictly freeze app, but makes it very slow, i.e. app may react after waiting few minutes...)

Try this link provided by magix support to download MM2022 version before this problematic "44" version: http://dl04.magix.net/2021/MusicMaker30/Music_Maker_30.0.3.39_INT_210927_16-17_82878DA2.exe
