Music Maker 2021 (w\last update) and Win 10 64 bit pro

stein-s wrote on 9/18/2020, 6:35 AM

Tuesday this week when opening MM 2021 I had to install all of my Instrument.....did that and turned the

pc off.Wednesday there was an Update for MM 2021, did that and turned the pc off.

Yesterday... planned to do some work in MM 2021 puh! had to install all instruments again (about 25 or so)

I had it! and installed the Win 10, after a lot of updates and bla bla

When everything was in the clear I started MM 2021 and had to install 5 instrument this time, but only one

showed up in the list. But MM2021 seems to be more stable and and created a new project without any

problems.

Have a nice productive weekend :)

Hi

I had to do this also on my laptop yesterday, however my PC has not been affected by this.

As a precaution in case this happens again I have backed up everything in the

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common folder that relates to Music Maker ie these folders

for, hopefully, a quick restore.

Hi again

I found just one file, a soundpoolDB file created just minutes ago.

But checking around in My and Common documents folders the Magix is all around

with older MMaker and synths, soundpools and temporary files.

I might uninstall everything and start from scratch.

Some instruments keep showing up under Downloads for me as well. However, they are already installed and work, so if your instruments work, just ignore the Downloads tab.

It is happening also to me since the latest version Music Maker Premium 2021. Some instruments and some soundpools. They are installed but every time I start Music Maker the appears again and again in the download section.

Hi

This was happening to me however a clean install on a new OS installation and all downloads have installed and the few that were exhibiting this prior to the clean installs of OS and program, have not reappeared.

This does make me wonder if there is an issue if MMM has been through the upgrade process from version to version.
